Framing Photos
I found this assignment kind of challenging. I really wanted to think outside the box again and not just put an object in front of a frame (even though I do like that look!). I tried to incorporate mostly nature and people into my photos this week. The photos are taken from Vermont all the way to the seacoast of New Hampshire. I tried to take advantage of any opportunity I could to take a photo this past week.
For this assignment I did take countless photos. I played around with flash, composition and points of view for each photo. I also gave changing the ISO a shot on a couple of them, I did find how it makes a difference dependent on lighting.

I enjoyed your slideshow , good work. I like how you made a frame on two of the pictures , one of the seagull and another of a boat using your fingers. It really drew my attention right to those objects. My favorite photo is the framed leaves!
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed with your creative syles that appear in the slide show assignment - from fall in Vermont to the coast of maine maybe? you captured many framing opportunities and kept my full attention through each frame. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your slideshow. You had a lot of opportunities and took a lot of creative framing shots. It’s hard to just pick one good photograph.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! I really appreciate the feedback.
ReplyDeleteTammy, yes they were taken in Vermont all the way to the New Hampshire seacoast!
The key shot is so unusual and I love the b&w one of the child with the bars. My other fave is the one of the man and dog through the grass, natural but like a secret peek. The pumpkin and rose series are interesting as well, my fave being the vertical shot with the fence railing creating a diagonal way back into the long depth of field, interesting shot.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely went above and beyond this week. Your slideshow was quite lengthy and included several great framing examples. The key hole photo was one of the most creative I've seen so far. The rearview mirror photo was also a good idea. I hope your dog was easier to work with than mine!
ReplyDeleteGarrison you definitely have a very unique style in photography and I'm very impressed and inspired every time I look at your work! I really enjoyed such a great variety of pictures. My favorite ones are definitely the macro shot of a key and the B&W one of the child! Very nicely done!
