I choose to take photos of some of the
seashells I have collected. I love the first photo the best; I like how the
seashells are captured up close while still maintaining the view from the top
of the glass. It also gives the illusion of the seashells being farther away
than they are. I did not want to include just two top photos, even though they
are my favorite so I choose another photo from the side. I wanted one of the
pictures to capture the whole glass jar while clearly seeing the shells placed
inside. In the second photo my favorite part is the sea glass placed on the
left. It was what first caught my eye when looking at this photo. I love the
simplicity of the image in general.
I liked taking photos from different angles. I
think that the different angles can change the viewer’s opinion of the photo. I
did not like all the angles I took the object from. I found that certain angles
did not capture the shape of the glass jar, some of the seashells or clarity in
what the photo was. I also found that from certain angles objects could seem displaced.
Another key element is lighting, which can be vastly impacted based on the angle.
