The first two images I took over the weekend. My brothers were not too thrilled when I asked to take pictures of them. I would like to take the time to take portrait images another week so I can use some of the techniques read about and actually have people how dont mind me taking the time to take their picture. I caught the first image as my brother was walking away and it came out better than I expected, I got a lot of blurry images this weekend unfortunately. I cropped the first photo so my brother was in the rule of thirds. I also played around with lighting and saturation. For the second image, I had someone else take it but I placed us and set the background up. I wanted to capture part of the mountains and me being the smallest needed to be in the center.
The second two images I have taken previously this fall. I really like how they came and think they are good images for Portrait photos. I love the angle on the first image and the lighting was perfect. I had to move quick to get this photo, her expression is priceless though! The second image I got on the swings, I wanted to capture something "in motion" more or less. I was able to capture both of them smiling and I liked how the girl on the left is only looking halfway and it is more of a "candid" approach.
Garrison I really like the picture of a baby looking up at you. It is the cutest. The angle is just great and I love how the color of her eyes stands out in the shot. Also if it was me, I would've cropped the picture a bit more, either a bit on the left or on the right, so it is more of a closer shot. Great images!
ReplyDeletetonya i love your cropping idea -I am going to give it a shot and post the edited version! thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about having photo-manipulation tools is you can deal with stuff like your brother's "bird". You could have cropped it out, or if you wanted his full body in the shot cloned out the finger...yay, Photoshop! The children shots are neat. Is the top one actually composed with sideways like it is on this blog, or were you standing in front of her on the deck and you just haven't rotated the shot? It makes me a little dizzy the way it is, but still a great shot...both are.
