I gave the paint tool two attempts as well. I found this tool hard to use, it was difficult to make the paint "blend" with the image and save it from looked actually edited. The top image I added colors into the sand with one of the printed options (on GIMP). The bottom photo I used fuzzy select and the paint bucket to fill in the red on the mask, and then used the paint tool with the same color red to go over it all. I like how the sand and shadow paint edit came out better than the bottom one.

clone tool
I gave this two attempts with the clone tool. For the first images with the beach access sign, I took out all the wires and pole. This took me a few times to get it right. I still think it could be a little cleaner. I had to play around a lot with the opacity and re-clicking the clone tool to get the sky proportioned properly and not leave marks. For the second image, I edited the show. I tried to get the scuff marks out of the bottom of the shoe. But, again I think that photo could be cleaned up more with practice.

text edit
When we first started editing photos this was actually one of the first things I wanted to do, I love this photo and the saying. I feel that they go together really well. The layout of the photos fits where I placed the text and the wave underneath I feel adds a cliche effect to the image.
